Addendum A Standing Committee Responsibilities
1.Manager and Coach Selection Committee – Review all candidates that have expressed an interest in managing/coaching. Identify additional possible candidates if needed. Committee meetings begin in January to select s managers/coaches for the regular season and again in April or May to select All-Star managers/coaches for the postregular season. The committee does not need to meet for Fall Ball managers/coaches selections if the managers/coaches have coached in a previous season and there is not more than one manager/coach applying for a team.
2.Participant Safety Program Committee – Review zero tolerance policy. Review background checks. Discuss potential issues and bring recommendations to the Board.
3.Fall Ball Committee – Create a schedule for Fall Ball, plan registration, and update the Board on progress.
4.Field Planning and Improvements Committee – Review plan for improvements, maintenance, and repairs required at all fields. Prioritize projects and ensure adequate budget is available. Prepare plan for field prep day.
5.Finance and Budget Committee – Review budget for upcoming year. Budget must be proposed at the November meeting and must be adopted by or before the December meeting. Invite those who may be interested in helping to write grants or brainstorm other fundraising efforts.
6.Rules and Regulations Committee – Review rules and regulations for baseball and softball and make recommendations for changes to the board.
7.Bylaws Committee – Review bylaws. Suggest updates, corrections, or other changes to the Board for review and approval as necessary. This committee may not need to be formed each year. Recommend By-Laws be reviewed every 4-5 years (minimum).
8.Web site Committee – Review options for upgrading the website as necessary. Ensure adequate budget is available if upgrades are necessary. This committee may not need to be formed each year
